Why this solves for a distance, not a price

The minimum job price calculator starts from a trip and works out the price it needs. This one starts from a price already on the table and works out the trip it can carry. Same two costs — the van, and the hour you cannot sell — solved in the other direction.

Two costs, kept separate on purpose

The van cost and the unsold-time cost are shown apart, not added into one number, because they behave differently. The van cost scales with distance alone. The unsold-time cost scales with how slow the drive actually is — traffic, not miles. A short, slow drive can cost more in time than a longer, faster one costs in fuel and wear.

Want a travel line ready before you quote?

BizBinder does not track mileage or log trips — that stays your own record. It does let you put a travel or call-out line on a quote or invoice, and mark drive time against a job as billable or not, so the cost of the trip does not just vanish into unpaid time.
