Free Quote & Estimate Generator

Fill in your business and client details, add line items — mark anything optional — and watch a clean quote build itself as you go. Set a deposit and a validity window, then download it as a PDF or turn it straight into an invoice once the client says yes.

Runs entirely in your browser — the client names and amounts you type here are never sent to us or stored on our side. The only thing kept on your device is the quote → invoice hand-off you trigger yourself, held in this tab and cleared the moment the invoice generator reads it. Why we can say that

What a quote must contain to win the work

A vague quote is how “I thought that was included” conversations happen. Line items with quantities and unit prices, not one lump number, let a client see exactly what they're paying for — the same rigor a quote that wins the work walks through in full, including the deposit and payment-terms wording that belongs on the quote, not sprung on the invoice later.

Scope exclusions — the “I thought that was included” problem

Most quote disputes aren't about the price — they're about scope nobody wrote down. If the client's existing wiring, drywall patching, or a permit fee isn't part of the number, the “Not included” field says so on the document the client signs, not in a conversation after the job's underway. It costs one sentence up front and saves an awkward one later.

Deposits and validity windows

A deposit — typically 25–50% for anything sizable — confirms the client is committed and means the job isn't entirely unpaid work until the very end. Set a percentage here and the preview works out the exact deposit and the exact balance on completion, so both numbers are printed rather than mentally split later. A validity window matters just as much: “valid for 30 days” protects a price built on today's material costs from being honored six months from now. Both only do their job if the underlying number holds up in the first place — how to price a job so the number holds up covers building it from materials, labor, overhead, and margin you added on purpose, rather than a figure that felt about right.

Free tools

Not confident in the number going on the quote in the first place? The free rate calculator turns your take-home pay, overhead, and billable hours into an hourly and day rate, and the markup & margin calculator turns a job's cost into a price by margin or markup. And if this quote is the first one at a rate you've recently raised, how to raise your prices without losing clients covers how to say so.

Quote numbering that becomes invoice numbering

Keep the quote number in view while you follow up — the quote follow-up scripts reference it by name in the delivery check and the week-later nudge, so a client can find the right document without asking which one you mean. Once it's accepted, click “Turn this quote into an invoice”: the line items, business and client details, tax, and discount move straight into the free invoice generator, and if a deposit was set, a note that it's already paid is added to the invoice automatically — nothing retyped, no number re-entered by hand.

Common questions

Is this quote generator actually free?

Yes — no signup, no watermark, and no limit on how many quotes you build. It runs entirely in your browser, so there’s nothing to buy and nothing to unlock.

Where does my quote data go?

Nowhere but your own browser tab. There’s no server call and no account — refresh the page and everything you typed is gone, so keep the PDF once you download it, or use the invoice handoff before you close the tab.

What’s the difference between a quote and an estimate?

In practice, most trades use the words interchangeably, but some clients expect one or the other — an “estimate” can read as a rough number, while a “quote” reads as a firm price. This tool lets you pick whichever word your clients expect; everything else about the document is identical.

How do I turn an accepted quote into an invoice?

Once a client says yes, click “Turn this quote into an invoice.” It carries your business and client details, the line items (skipping anything marked optional), and your tax and discount settings straight into the free invoice generator — nothing retyped. If you set a deposit, a line noting it’s already paid is added to the invoice notes automatically.

Tired of building this one quote at a time?

BizBinder remembers the client, reuses the line items, and turns an accepted quote into an invoice, reminders, and — for repeat work — a recurring bill, without you rebuilding a single document from scratch.
