A binder for the business, not a bot for the business.
Who’s behind BizBinder, why it exists, and how we write the guides you’ve probably landed here from.
Admin eats evenings that work already used up.
Nobody starts a plumbing business, a photography studio, or a cleaning round because they love writing invoices. But the quote still needs sending, the invoice still needs chasing, and the client who asked about next Tuesday still needs an answer — and none of it waits for a quiet moment. It ends up scattered across texts, a sticky note, and a spreadsheet that’s on version seven.
BizBinder exists to put the ask, the job, the invoice, and the client’s history in one place — so the systems that keep a small business paid and organized run on their own, instead of living in your head at 9pm.
A CustomLabs product, built by a small team.
BizBinder is a CustomLabs product — small, self-funded, and building in the open with founding members rather than a launch event. There’s no outside investor telling us to add seats, ads, or upsells to hit a number; there’s a small team building the thing we’d actually want to run our own admin on.
Every guide is a system you can run on Monday.
The guides and free tools on this site follow a few rules we hold ourselves to:
- It has to be usable Monday morning. A guide that’s just theory isn’t finished — if it doesn’t end in something you can actually do, we keep working on it.
- No padding for word count. If the honest answer is three paragraphs, it’s three paragraphs.
- Jurisdiction-specific numbers are sourced and dated. A statutory rate or a legal figure gets a source and the date we checked it, because those numbers change and go stale.
- We say when something isn’t advice. Money-adjacent topics — late fees, pricing, contracts — get a plain “this isn’t legal or tax advice” instead of pretending otherwise. See terms for the full version.
- We correct things when they’re wrong. If a reader tells us a number or a claim is off, we fix the page — not just the next one.
Honest, on purpose — same as the pricing.
No ads
Nothing on this site is a sponsored placement, and it never will be — the guides say what we think, not what paid for the slot.
No selling data
What we collect (see the privacy page) is never sold to a data broker, an ad network, or anyone else.
No reselling contacts
If you give us your email for early access, it’s used to talk to you about BizBinder — not passed along to a partner, a list, or a “growth” tool.
No dark-pattern cancellation
Cancelling should take one click, not a phone call you have to argue your way through. That’s a commitment, not a feature we’re still building.
No chat bot
A wall of AI-generated small talk isn’t help — a real guide, written by a person who checked the numbers, is. Content is the product here, not a chat window.
